Addie’s Journey
I spent many hours just staring at a blank white canvas. Trying to place Jesus and Addie in what would be so difficult to envision; the rolling hills, pine trees in a morning setting. The warm sunlight illuminating the wildflowers way in the distance and bringing to the front a wild little yellow flower along with Black-Eyed Susan’s, clover and Purple Veronica. A patch of daisies with white Lily of the Valley. Bringing your eyes to six butterflies; a Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Eastern Swallowtail on a Black-Eyed Susan, followed by a Common Buckeye and of course an American Copper with a giant Swallowtail to finish.
The real story is all about our little 2-year-old Adelaide James Davis, with her two best stuffed friends Stitch and Minnie. We must always remember that my Savior Jesus Christ loves all the children, and I believe there is a divine plan in the Lord's love for the innocence of children.
The blood shed on Calvary's cross covers them. Jesus is telling us, I have little Addie’s soul and spirit safe in my presence.
Let this painting point you, yes all who share in the loss of little Addie. All of us must come to Jesus as a little child. Do you believe he is the creator of heaven and earth, with all the wildflowers, butterflies, along with the breathtaking landscapes? Just think about it, heaven far exceeds in beauty and holiness beyond our thoughts.
I invite you, yes you, to join me on the journey that little Addie has taken. It’s simple and very easy. Just ask Him to come into your life.
Jesus said, “He is the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father but by me.” John 14th chapter
I have dedicated this painting to my little artist and look forward to one day sitting by her side painting all the wildflowers and butterflies in heaven and on earth, during the millennial reign of Christ.

Addie’s Garden
Sometime after August 15, 2025…
I was in deep conservation with words, and also my mind talking with Jesus and my heavenly Father. I saw in my mind a very beautiful garden, many wildflowers, all sorts of other flowers, colors beyond true description. I then saw little Addie walking ever so intently looking all around. I felt she was taking in all its beauty along with butterflies flying all around her, almost as though they were following her.
I saw this many times over the last few months. My intent in January 2026 was to paint this scene, but when Sarah asked me to do a painting of a field of wildflowers and butterflies with a mountain background, I changed my thoughts. This would become Addie’s Journey with Jesus. I finished that painting with a lot of struggles on Good Friday April 2026.
On Easter Sunday morning I had another download into my spirit and mind. I felt the Lord Jesus speak to me clearly, “You can now paint Addie’s Garden. I know you can do it.” The time was right, and I later took a canvas and found a picture of Addie that would be the one to paint her from. I drew it out and felt it come alive. My mind began to see a pathway, a trellis with flowers, and along the way a fence, a bird house, hanging flowers, a terrace effect with all sorts of flowers. I added Addie holding a basket of Johnny Jump-Ups, she loved purple and yellow, and really any color was welcomed. Then I got this big idea to paint Jarvis in the painting. He always had a certain way he sat on his side and oh that look he could give you. Those eyes and a face only a Frenchie has. I threw some butterflies in the foreground and finished the painting with beams of sunlight shining into Addie’s Garden.
I end the story of this painting with, as I perceive it, Addie saying to Jarvis “Come on Jarvis, let’s go home!”
To the Glory of the Lord, Grandpa
Consider the Lillies
Inspired by Matthew 6:28–30, Consider the Lilies is a celebration of God's faithful provision and the quiet beauty woven throughout His creation. A vibrant field of wildflowers stretching across the landscape, each bloom standing as a reminder that the same God who clothes the lilies in splendor lovingly cares for every detail of our lives. Through layers of color, movement, and light, this painting invites you to pause, release worry, and rest in the promise that we are seen, known, and provided for. The wildflowers bloom freely, not striving, yet flourishing exactly as their Creator intended. Their beauty reflects God's grace, abundance, and unwavering presence in every season. Consider the Lilies serves as a gentle reminder that if God so beautifully cares for the flowers of the field, how much more does He care for His children. It is an invitation to trust, to hope, and to find peace in His promises, no matter what season of life you’re exeperiencing.
